They are currently organising a charity auction raising money for two local charities - Ipswich Housing Action Group and Fresh Start, New Beginnings. Pupils' votes determined which charities they would support during the Lent term.
In case you haven't heard of these two charities, here is some information about them:
Ipswich Housing Action Group works to help people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless by providing them with hostel accommodation for up to 18 months and money and debt advice to help get them back on their feet.
The charity helps over 3000 people a year and has been doing so since 1976. If you would like more information on the charity please go to https://www.ihag.co.uk/
Fresh Start New Beginnings is a charity working to provide support to victims of child sexual abuse. They provide a safe place where children and their families can receive advice, support, and help in developing coping strategies to give them confidence, understanding and the chance of a brighter, more secure future. The charity highlights their strengths and potential so that they can move from victim to survivor. More details can be found on their website, https://www.fsnb.org.uk/
