A very rainy start made for an incredibly muddy course for Saturday's Cross Country Races at Fynn Valley, Tuddenham.
Thankfully the rain cleared, but the mud remained, as teams from Ipswich School, Norwich School, Royal Hospital School and Greshams School took part. For the final race, our OI team joined the seniors to attempt to win back the coveted trophy. First and second place were taken by OIs Louis Chancellor (OI 2008-13) and Tom Hancock (OI 1981-88) respectfully, and the rest of the School and OI teams followed behind.
The Old Ipswichians reclaimed the trophy in spite of brave runs from those representing the School. After enjoying the run, the competitors made their way back to school for presentations, food and drink in the school dining hall.
Well done to everyone that came along.
