We know how treasured the school trip to Cumbria is and we hope that our current year 8's will remember their trip forever.
This year, they wrapped up well in waterproofs and set off to Cumbria for a variety of adventures. With rain lashing down most days, boots were wet; socks were wet; t-shirts and trousers were wet, but their spirits couldn’t be dampened, with all students rising to all challenges and activities.
Throughout the week, our year 8’s went on mountain walks, ghyll tackling in the white water, and archery. They learnt how to work as a team and how to both lead and support each other.
There week also included canoeing, indoor climbing and even visiting the Roman Army Museum, Hadrian’s Wall and Vindolanda, where they were given a fascinating talk on ‘The Roman Empire’ and its rise to power.
Do get in touch with your memories of Cumbria, always a trip to be remembered!
