We were delighted to welcome OI Josh Turner back to Ipswich School on 23rd January to deliver an inspiring talk to our Year 13 students. Josh is the founder of Stand4Socks, a social enterprise, who have now donated over 150,000 pairs of socks to vulnerable people in need in the UK.

While visiting the school, he shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey; from appearing on Dragons’ Den and staying with Richard Branson on Necker Island, to the resilience he has developed through living with dyslexia, and creating socks for celebrities around the world. Throughout, he has remained true to Stand4Socks’ core mission: for every pair of socks sold, a pair is donated to someone experiencing homelessness.

Josh attended Ipswich School from Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form, alongside his three brothers (most of whom went on to careers in finance). He now lives in New York with his wife and his dog; aptly named, of course, Socks!

Thank you Josh for such an enjoyable visit.

We look forward to seeing Stand4Socks continue to grow from strength to strength.
