Our Year 11 students will be taking part in a week-long work experience placement from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th June 2026, and we would love to promote opportunities from our OI community.
Work experience plays a huge role in helping young people prepare for life beyond school. By spending time in a real workplace, students naturally build confidence and develop those all-important soft skills, often without even realising it. Whether they’re exploring a future career or simply experiencing the daily commute into London, every placement helps prepare them for what comes next.
We are incredibly grateful to the employers who already support our students, including Matthew Douglas, TruLife Optics and Madano - your involvement makes a real difference.
If you’re able to offer a placement, we’d love to hear from you. The process is simple, with just one short form to complete, and everything is managed by the School. Please email us oldipswichians@ipswich.school for more information.
