On Saturday, 3rd October, we were delighted to welcome back former staff members for our annual Former Staff Lunch Reunion. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with warm nostalgia, lively conversation, and a shared celebration of the enduring spirit of the Ipswich School community.

With 40 guests in attendance, the atmosphere in the New Dining Hall was great, as old colleagues and friends reconnected and caught up on life after teaching and reminiscing over fond memories from their years at the School.

The gathering began with a welcome drink and speech from the Head, Nick Gregory (OI 1981–88), who expressed the achievements of the School at present and the heartfelt gratitude to our former colleagues for their dedication, passion, and lasting impact on generations of students.

Guests then sat down to enjoy a delicious, carefully prepared two-course lunch. Diners chose between a succulent Lemon & Thyme Roast Chicken Supreme served with fondant potatoes, slow-roasted carrot, seasonal green vegetable medley, and a rich chicken jus, or a flavorful Roasted Vegetable & Feta Crumble. The meal ended on a sweet note with a vibrant Lemon & Passion Fruit Cheesecake topped with a raspberry compote.

To conclude the afternoon, attendees were invited on a short guided tour of the School.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the afternoon so special. We look forward to welcoming you back to the next Former Staff Lunch which will now be held in the Marquee on Saturday 26th June!
