Fives Successes at U25 Championship

An excellent day for Ipswichian players at yesterday’s U25 Championships at Eton.

Isaac Weaver (OI 2010-20) became the first Ipswich player to win a senior tournament for many years, partnering non-Ipswichian Fred Pricket. Not a big surprise as he was runner up last year.

Of the School players, Daniel I (Yr12), with an Olavian partner in the absence of Charlie D, impressed, reaching the semifinals. Jake S with Richard B (Yr11s) enjoyed the experience of playing at a higher level. No giant killing but some good performances and came away with the C Plate.

Betsy L and Millie H, our U14 champions last year, won the Women’s A Plate. Anastasia M and Rebecca K couldn’t get the better of England cricketer Izzy Wong in their group but ended up just one point shy of the B Plate to round off a successful day.
