A joint concert and art sale took place at the School to raise money for a Ukrainian school for the deaf. OIs joined current pupils to form Camerata and Cantores, an orchestra and choir especially for the event. Ensemble and solo performances featured works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Schubert and Tallis.

A choral piece by contemporary Ukrainian composer Natalia Tsupryk was received especially well by the audience. During the interval there was a short talk on where the raised funds would be going which really brought the point of the concert home.

The event was supported not only by  OIs, pupils and their parents, but also by the School Art Department, the Music Office, catering, marketing and administration staff. Donated art works were sold during the evening  and in total £3,260 was raised. A fantastic sum.

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously of their time and money.
