I've always been a 'writer,' but as a full time teacher, and, at the time, mother, I didn't have a lot of time to pursue it. Not that I didn't find my work fulfilling, as it always gave me great pleasure to see my students consistently achieving the top grades, especially if English was not their favourite subject or they struggled. I enjoyed working with my students - and they still remember me, as I received a shout out from Alex Albon, Formula One driver, whom I used to teach! When I left Ipswich school after 12 years, I started my own company, which is always fully booked and this year, again, my students have gained 8 and 9 grades - stellar success. It is so rewarding, and I love working for myself, doing it my way, and knowing it works. I now have more time to write, and I am now a published author, a goal I always wanted to achieve. It's never too late!
