The Old Ipswichian’s had the pleasure of being asked to play the School 1st XI in a 40 over contest at Henley Road. Winning the toss the Old boys had a bat and managed to post a competitive target of around 180 with contributions throughout the innings. In reply the School batted with great skill and chased the target down with two overs to spare. Special mention goes to Joe McGregor who anchored the School innings and whose score in excess of 80 was a class above on the day.
A brilliant game of cricket with a mix of Old Ipswichians from different eras who enjoyed reminiscing about their time playing cricket at the School.
