We were on the edge of our seats as England kept back the Australian side in the last minutes of the game to secure a win beating Australia 2-1 at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham!
There was jubilation at the first goal from Holly Hunter then again when Tess Howard scored the second.
Australia clawed back a goal in the final quarter of the game but England's defence kept them away from equalising going on to secure a historic gold for the team.
Our very own Hannah Martin (OI 1998-13) scored the penalty in the semi-final to secure the teams place in the final, an amazing moment to see.
