We are delighted that Tekle has shared his journey from Eritrea to Ipswich School with the EADT and so we also share it here:

We are so proud to welcome Tekle to the Sixth Form with the help of a Founding Futures Bursary. Tekle first came to the School's attention after Anna Caston, our Head of Lower School, started volunteering with the Suffolk Refugee Homework Club. She was impressed with Tekle's drive and enthusiasm and put his case forward to be considered for a transformational 100% bursary designed to give opportunity where it would otherwise be absent.

He started at the School at the beginning of this academic year and we wish him the very best on his Ipswich School journey. It is the support of the wider Ipswich School community which has given this opportunity to an inspiring young man.

Thank you for your support. Your donations to the School's bursary fund truly make a difference to individual lives.

Once again, thank you for helping us to give unparalleled educational opportunity based on merit and merit alone.

Yours sincerely

Nicholas Weaver
Headmaster
