Pupils Return to Ipswich School

What has changed?

School News

After a slightly different summer holiday, we’ve all returned to school for another exciting year.

Whether you are completely new to school or returning for another year, it’s a whole new experience for everyone; there is no need to be intimidated by the new environment this year.

One benefit of this change of lifestyle within the School is much faster lunch queues thanks to dedicated lunch time slots for each year, meaning we can all get our lunch quickly, easily and safely.

The school has taken many precautions to ensure that students and teachers remain safe to continue their daily school lessons and activities, such as frequent sanitisation of hands and desks, as well as having to wear face masks when travelling between classes.

The biggest change noticeable is how each year has their own devoted block to prevent cross-contamination between separate “bubbles”, and of course the different location of the tuck-shop.

Although it’s not exactly the same, it’s been great to see people again after nearly six months.

We are interested to know how our OIs have also had to adapt to their new way of life, be it at university or in the workplace, please let us know by emailing oldipswichian@ipswich.school
