Oliver Lawson (OI 2010-16) Completed 'Le Bootiful Double' Ski Boot London Marathon Challenge

I completed my challenge: 'Le Bootiful Double', finishing under my 10-hour goal, all in aid of Children with Cancer UK! I am not a runner and I genuinely don’t enjoy it, but if I were going to do this, it needed to be for a worthwhile cause.

Paris 12/04 – 3:41:17 (My first marathon)

London 26/04 – 5:44:28 (In Ski Boots)

Total: 9 hours 25 minutes 45 seconds

Raising a total of: £8,217 - To read more, click here

According to AI, I now have the 3rd quickest time round a marathon in ski boots, missing the world record by only 14 minutes!  The pain and suffering was minor compared to what the families affected by this awful disease go through every day. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated already in support of the amazing work being done by Children with Cancer UK.
