Henry Patten, along with doubles partner Harri Heliovaara, delivered a masterclass performance in Sunday’s ATP Final in Turin, defeating their opponent in straight sets to secure the coveted year-end championship. They shocked the sporting world with their earlier triumph at Wimbledon 2024, where they won the final against Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson in an exhilarating three-set match, and again in the Australian Open Final 2025, where they defeated Simon Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori. Patten’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. Once regarded as a promising but understated figure on tour, he has now established himself as a dominant force to be reckoned with in the tennis world.
He described his victory as “a dream season reaching its’ perfect conclusion,” and “to win in Turin, after the year I’ve had means everything. I’m proud, grateful and determined to keep pushing my limits.” This win makes Patten the first British player in decades to secure the ATP Finals title and solidifies his status as the world’s No.1. The achievements he has triumphed in reaching this year and with three monumental trophies now in hand, we can’t wait to see what Henry has in store for the future!
