Rusmere Community Runners (RCR) (an inclusive and sociable group catering for adult runners of all abilities) was founded by a small number of people including Jan Reeve and Stuart Masters who not long after, started working for Coes Ipswich, a third generation clothing store established in 1928.

RCR's annual dinner was held at Venue 16 and William Coe (OI 1976-87), a director of Coes was invited to present the awards with Jan Reeve and Stuart Masters. The 'members choice' award is named The William Coe Trophy in recognition of the support and sponsorship Coes gives the running club.

RCR is one of the many sports organisations who use Ipswich School's, Rushmere Sports Centre .On Tuesday evenings RCR, who have a community of over 130 regular runners, use the astro pitches at Rushmere to hold a rotating and varied programme of interval training.
