The Speaker for the OI Ipswich Dinner is Announced

We are delighted to announce that OI President, Sir Neil Garnham has invited Hannah French (née Martin) (OI 1998-13) to be the keynote speaker at the OI Ipswich Dinner on Saturday 16th December. Hannah was at Ipswich School from 1998 until 2013 and made her international hockey debut in 2017. Very soon she became a key player for both the England and Great Britain teams.

As well as achieving bronze medals early in her career at European and Commonwealth level, Hannah later won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for the Great Britain hockey team. In 2022 Hannah went on to gain a gold for the England team at the Commonwealth Games which were held in Birmingham.

At the Ipswich Dinner Hannah will talk about her time at Ipswich School, her progression into women's hockey and what it is like to represent your county on the world stage.

All OIs are welcome to attend the dinner and to bring a guest. If you would like to meet up with your OI friends you can book a table and be seated together. The evening will start with a drinks reception featuring a group of Ipswich School jazz musicians, followed by a four-course dinner and talks from the President and Hannah French.
