Olly Magnus (OI 1982-91) Wins Prestigious Business Award

As CEO of Magnus Group, Olly is proud of how far the company has come

Olly has had a whirlwind three years after buying into the company when his father Paul passed away. At the time Olly considered the move a big gamble and he made significant changes to the company including building a robust management structure to help the business to grow.

Magnus Group presently has a modern fleet of 60 trucks, 350,000 square feet of warehousing space, and a team of 150 staff based at Great Blakenham and Felixstowe. At the time he said, "I always knew I wanted to keep the family values and culture of the company, but needed a more robust management structure to be able to grow the company, and take it forward.” He continued, “I’ve had some of the best talent in the industry join me and put in a structure of three clear divisions. It’s been a challenging three years, but the result is that we have trebled the turnover. We are all very excited about the future.”

Olly was named, Director of the Year at the prestigious Business Awards 2022 event held at Kesgrave Hall. The judges applauded Olly for his drive and commitment plus his 'people first' attitude to the the Magnus Group staff.

Receiving the accolade, Olly told the East Anglian Daily Times, "It honestly feels amazing and it's without a doubt the biggest achievement in my business life."

Our congratulations to Olly!
