Thank you to the following employers for supporting current Year 11 students for a work experience placement this year (22nd-26th June).
Matthew Douglas Ltd, Hadleigh - Including Harry Badman (OI 2008-15), Oliver Pescott Frost (OI 2008-15), Thomas Pescott Frost (OI 2006-13), Joshua Wilding (OI 2010-15) - thank you once again for offering a fantastic placement for two of our students. First hand experience with award winning independent financial advisers, students were given the opportunity to attend client meetings as well as deliver a presentation on their final day.
Stanley Bragg Architects - Brandon Clemson (OI 2004-11), a massive thank you for offering us a placement for the first time. The student was given a project to work on throughout the week with the opportunity to use 3D software to bring their design to life.
Madano Partnerships - Kelvin Morgan (OI 1997-12). Thanks once again to Kelvin for hosting a placement, especially given the red weather warning that was in place for London! A fantastic opportunity for the student to learn about the world of marketing and communications.
TruLife Optics - Jonathan Lewis (OI 1979-86). Again, another big thank you to Jonathan and his team for allowing 2 students to spend the week with them. Students demonstrated their dedication to the placement by commuting to/from London each day. A truly unique experience working with experts in holographic optical elements.
It was lovely to bump into a few other OIs during the week including Alex Wallace (OI 2004-11) at Streets Whittles Chartered Accountants and Ben Althen (OI 2015-21) at Suffolk County Council, it was lovely to see you both and thank you for supporting the students and allowing them to learn more about your work.
