We are hopeful that our Year 11 students will be able to participate in an in-person work experience placement next summer and are currently in the process of securing these placements before the programme is launched to the students.
We are however in need of your support. Having approached local companies that we have previously used and additional new contacts we have had some confirmed offers but we are still very short of placements. Many companies are understandably hesitant to commit at this stage and many still have employees working from home.
So we are hoping that you might be able to help? The dates for 2022 are Monday 27th June - Friday 1st July, however if you are only able to offer one or two days that would still be an incredible opportunity for one of our students.
We will advertise your placement to the students in January and we will naturally be advising that these may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We are keen to be able to offer the students a wide choice of opportunities and are hopeful that you might be able to offer your support.
If you would like any more information about work experience or if you have any questions about hosting a placement please do not hesitate to contact careers@ipswich.school.
We would be incredibly grateful if you are able to support this programme and offer work experience for one of our students. Please contact the above email to get a copy of the Employer Form which will need to be completed to enable the placement to be advertised to the students.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Kind regards
Julie Hayes
