Running for England in Perth at the Anglo Celtic Plate ultra-running international in March, Charlie Harpur OI (2001-2008) became the British 100km Champion, winning the event in a time of 6hrs 44mins and qualifying for Great Britain representation at the World 100km Championships in the Netherlands next year. Charlie also ran another Great Britain qualifying standard for 50km by winning the Gloucester 50km in January in 2hr 59min.
His other recent ultra-running exploits include winning the South Downs Way 100mile trail race (15hrs 1min) and taking gold at the UK Trail Running Championships 30mile race in 2018, as well as sharing the podium with the World 50 mile record holder by finishing third at the 90km Ultravasan trail race in Sweden this August.
