Ipswich School's Festival of Music is renowned for bringing musical performances to the School spanning a range of genres from outstanding musicians. This year we are delighted that audiences will be able to enjoy the talents of two OIs who will be returning to the School with their respective groups.
On Monday 15 October, Oli Morris (2013) will be performing with The Gentlemen of St John's, a close-vocal harmony group formed from the Choral Scholars of St John's College, Cambridge. Their versatile repertoire ranges from early sacred music, to folksongs, to more modern close-harmony singing. The concert will also feature choral groups from the School, giving a wonderful opportunity to see current pupils perform with these exceptional performers. To book tickets please visit https://www.wolseytheatre.co.uk/…/fom-gentlemen-of-st-john…/ or call 01473 295900.
Closing the Festival this year on Tuesday 16 October with his percussion group 4-Mality will be Sam Wilson (2010). 4-Mailty is one of the world's most compelling and innovative percussion quartets, and was formed by Adrian Spillett, the first percussionist to win the prestigious BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. It promises to be a dynamic and exhilarating performance, bringing this year's Festival to an end with a bang! This final concert of the Festival is sponsored by the OI Club which means we have a limited number of complimentary tickets available to OIs on a first come, first served basis. To claim your ticket, please contact the School's Development Office on 01473 298964.
If you aren't lucky enough to secure a complimentary ticket, further tickets can be bought from https://www.wolseytheatre.co.uk/…/fom-sam-wilson-and-4-mal…/ or call 01473 295900. Both performances will take place at 7.30pm in Great School, Ivry Street.
