The Old Ipswichians, with the support of Shyam Patel (OI 1992-03) wish to put together their best team of golfers (both female and male) with the aim of winning the prestigious Grafton Morrish Trophy*.
The competition is for amateur scratch foursomes, for three pairs of former pupils of the School. The qualifying round will take place on Sunday 19th May 2024 at Gog Magog Golf Club near Cambridge to reduce the number of entrants from the usual 105 down to 48.
The finalists will then take part in the knock-out finals weekend which starts with a practice day on Thursday 26th September with The Grafton Morrish Trophy knock-out being played from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, 27th to the 29th September 2024. The matches will be played at the Hunstanton Golf Club and the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club in Brancaster (both Norfolk based courses).
If you have a very low golf handicap and are available to play on all the dates specified, please click the button below to express your interest, stating clearly your golf handicap.
*The Grafton Morrish Golf Association (formerly the Public Schools Old Boys Golf Association) is open to the golfing sections of Societies of Old Boys (which includes Old Girls) schools, the Head of which attends the Headmasters’ Conference and other schools which are sponsored by six members.
