The Old Ipswichian Club
invites you to take part in the OI vs Ipswich School Cross Country
on Saturday 1st March 2025 

The 7K route will take you through parts of the beautiful Fynn Valley

Spectators are welcome!

Hot drinks, water and cookies will be available from the OI gazebo based near the race starting post

Itinerary for Runners
2.00pm - Runners arrive at Ipswich School via the Henley Road car park entrance (gate code 24184)
2.10pm - The School minibus will transport runners from Ipswich School to the Tuddenham Fountain, where the race starts (spectators will need to make their own transport arrangements)
3.00pm - OI Race starts
After the run - The minibus will bring runners back to Ipswich School where participants will have the opportunity of a shower in the Pavilion
4.30pm - Hot food and drinks will be served to runners and spectators in the New Dining Hall (only available to those who have pre booked). Followed by presentations

Participants are to meet at 2pm at Ipswich School, Sixth Form Car Park, Henley Road, Ipswich, IP1 3SG.

A minibus will transport all runners at 2.10pm to the start of the race to prevent the Tuddenham Fountain's car park becoming overcrowded.
The ground is stony in places but is generally wet and muddy especially near the river so suitable spikes or studded fell shoes would be ideal.

At the end of the race (about 7km), the minibus will collect all OI's and bring them back to the School where changing and shower facilities will be available in the Pavillion.

 You are most welcome to stay and catch up with fellow OIs; please make your way to the New Dining Hall for a hot supper and refreshments.

Photographs and Video:

There will be a photographer present, photographs will be shared on social media, via email and appear on out website. They may also be used in printed publications. If you don't want your picture taken or shared please advise the photographer when you arrive. We may also record short film. If you don't want to appear in them please let us know when you arrive and register.
